Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-05 · git-to-x.com, operated by Manoj Surya

What git-to-x does

git-to-x is a hosted service that connects your GitHub repository and X (Twitter) account to automatically generate and post daily commit stat cards. The service also provides a CLI tool (g2x) that lets you post a card directly from your terminal. By using git-to-x you agree to these terms.

Plans and post limits

Free — $0 forever

  • · 10 posts per calendar month
  • · Manual posting mode only (you trigger each post)
  • · Streak tracking and stat cards included
  • · 10-day trial of auto-posting included at signup

Pro / Founding — $9/mo (founding rate, locked while active)

  • · 50 posts per calendar month: up to 30 daily cards + 5 weekly recaps + 5 monthly recaps + 50 CLI text tweets + 5 CLI link tweets
  • · Full autopilot — scheduled posting, hands-free
  • · Weekly and monthly cumulative recap cards
  • · CLI: post from the terminal — 50 text and 5 link tweets per month

Founding pricing ($9/mo) is locked forever for subscribers who join during the founding window, as long as the subscription remains active. Cancellation removes the locked rate; resubscribing at a later date is at the then-current price.

Founding Lifetime — $99 once (first 100) · $199 after

  • · Everything in Pro, with no recurring charge
  • · Permanent numbered FOUNDER badge on every card (first 100 buyers only)
  • · First 12 months: git-to-x covers the X API credits for your scheduled posts
  • · After 12 months (or sooner, at your choice): transition to your own X API key to continue posting — all Pro features remain intact forever

Fair use of shared X API credits

Scheduled posting (auto mode) uses git-to-x's X API credentials on your behalf. This is a shared resource. Post caps (listed above) exist to keep the service sustainable for everyone on the plan. We reserve the right to tune caps over time to reflect X API pricing changes.

Lifetime accounts specifically: if X API pricing changes make hosting all scheduled posts unsustainable, Lifetime accounts will transition to bring-your-own-key (BYOK). This is not a degradation — all Pro features (scheduling, recaps, CLI, card designs) continue to work; only the API billing moves to your key. We will give at least 60 days notice before any such transition. If anything, BYOK gives you more control and higher rate limits on your own key. Our commitment: Lifetime means every feature, forever — the API bill is the only thing that may shift.

30-day refund policy

If you are not satisfied within 30 days of your purchase, email hello@git-to-x.com and we will issue a full refund — no questions asked. One refund per customer. After 30 days, all sales are final.

Acceptable use

git-to-x is for genuine build-in-public activity. You must not use the service — especially the CLI — to:

  • ×Post spam, coordinated inauthentic behavior, or content that violates X's rules.
  • ×Automate posts at a rate that endangers our shared X API standing or exceeds your plan cap.
  • ×Use the service to harass, impersonate, or post defamatory content.

Accounts found in violation may be suspended immediately and without refund. We will attempt to notify you first when practical.

Service availability and reliability

git-to-x is provided on a best-effort basis. Scheduled posts include automatic retries with exponential backoff on transient X API failures. However, we make no warranty that every post will succeed or that the service will be available at all times. Missed posts due to X outages, GitHub outages, or maintenance windows are not eligible for refunds outside the 30-day window.

Zero-commit days are silently skipped — no empty cards are posted, and your streak simply pauses until the next day you commit.

Your content and our license

Your code, commits, and X posts remain yours. You grant git-to-x a limited, non-exclusive license to access your GitHub commit metadata and post to your X account solely for the purpose of delivering the service. We do not claim ownership of anything you create.

Termination

You can cancel your subscription and disconnect your accounts at any time from Settings. We may terminate or suspend access for violations of these terms. On termination, your data deletion rights under our Privacy Policy still apply.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind — express, implied, or statutory. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to these terms

Material changes will be emailed to your account address with at least 14 days notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which git-to-x is operated. Any disputes will be resolved by good-faith negotiation first; failing that, by the courts of that jurisdiction.
